MacDonnell House
Prices include full breakfast, free 750ml wine and free wifi
The ideal “refresh and relax” destination for up to four couples, MacDonnell House is in the heart of Naracoorte. It’s also very appealing to singles and corporate guests.
The 1930s local stone bungalow, with a 21st-century interior makeover, has four bedrooms – one king and three queen – and three bathrooms. Guests love the main bathroom with two-person spa bath, double shower, double vanity and WC.
From MacDonnell House, take 15 steps to the Visitor Information Centre, craft shop and The Sheep’s Back wool industry museum. Or make a short walk to Naracoorte Community Playground, Lions Pioneer Park, the Naracoorte Creek Walk and the centre of town.
The open plan kitchen/dining room and the sheltered outdoor deck, with table and chairs, are great for sitting around and chatting.
The back bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, and the three front bedrooms and the living room have views of the garden with roses and native shrubs.
Features and Facilities
We stayed at MacDonnell house for one night during our Coonawarra wine and cave tour. We had the whole cottage to ourselves and really enjoyed the privacy and the well appointed facilities. The spa bath and the double shower were great after a big day in the car visiting wineries and caves. The complimentary bottle of local red was a nice touch as was the bacon and egg in the fridge for us to cook up in the morning before we left. The cottage is lovely and has all the modern conveniences. We enjoyed our stay and would go there again. Thanks.
